Past Light was painted in response to shadows I created and photographed as the foundation for sculptural forms. These shadows were cast from prefabricated shapes - symbols of renewal, birth, growth, and death - then manipulated with light to create layered distortions. This process explores how ephemeral forms can be translated into tangible presence. Building on this concept, I plan to develop a series of large-scale cyanotype prints on fabric, capturing shadows as I construct my sculptures. Through this, I aim to further investigate the relationship between light, form, and immersive experience, transforming fleeting moments into lasting visual and spatial impressions. This painting was exhibited in Myakins exhibition in 2024 at Safe House, Peckham.
